Okay Masters Restaurant I have upgraded you. Went there last night to meet up with someone. Sat at the bar and right away a nice young woman took my drink order. It appeared to be quite busy, but the bartender was always there being very polite and nice. I ended up ordering an appetizer - Calimari which was EXCELLENT! Cooked perfectly, not rubbery or chewy, just outstanding. My new friend ordered another appetizer - a shrimp plate. Everything was wonderful and all were very nice. Food is excellent and they really do keep everything nice and clean. Great place to go and the food is excellent as well.

Although it looks nice from the outside, and you get a little dressed up to go.... it's not much to write home about. I have eaten here a half dozen times or so over the years and never once have I left say "wow, what a great meal." I have gone back mainly for grandma's birthday, baby shower, etc., never because it was my choice. The food is so so at best. The staff is about the same. It's nothing that leaves you wanting more..........

Not fine dining by any means but if you're looking for a perfectly cooked filet and a great waitstaff, this is the place for you.

My husband and I frequent this restaurant... I enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere, with the wooden stair case and low lighting... The Bar can be VERY noisy and somewhat entertaining... The upstairs is quiet. It seems they are well staffed with the bussers, always there is refill your water, but will sometimes lack in servers and need another host depending on how busy they are. The filet is delicious. And the bartender, Amanda is amazing.

My boyfriend took me on a date here last night. It was my first visit. It's so beautiful inside! We were met by the owner, Nick, who personally sat us at our table. Our server, Angelina, was extremely kind and took care of our every need. She was helpful with suggestions and our conversations with her were very jovial. The love piano entertainment was wonderful! We tried so much food, and it was all so very delicious! The Escargot was in a puffed pastry with garlic sauce, the shrimp cocktail was fresh with large pieces of shrimp, the crab cakes were seriously the best I've ever tasted! He had the Filet Mignon which melted like butter in your mouth, and I had the Sesame Ginger Salmon, which was tender, fresh, and delicious! We barely finished it off with their decadent Tiramisu drizzled in chocolate. I was in a very happy food coma! It was the best dinner I've had, and the most impeccable service I've seen or experienced, ever. I cannot wait to go back and dine here again! I felt like royalty! I

This is the stand-by restaurant for me. I've yet to have a bad meal at The Master's and that's quite a feat since for awhile I was eating there at least once a week. I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to write this, maybe I just don't want to let people know about this wonderful spot and keep it all to my greedy little self. The country club feel is a really nice touch, I really like the aesthetics. Dark wood, dim lighting, carpeted stairs. They sometimes have a piano player. But when it comes to what really matters in a restaurant, the staff and the food, the Master's is a hole in one for both (I promise that will be the only bad golf reference I'll make in this....ok, maybe I'll do one more). You can really tell that management is invested in hiring only quality workers, every waiter or waitress we've had has been spot on and super friendly, some even going so far as to see us being seated and greeting us with our usual drinks (I've mentioned before, there's nothing better than feeling like a regular). The menu is what you would expect, steak, seafood, ribs and sandwedges (they actually call their sandwiches this), all extremely delicious and at a remarkable price. Try the French Onion soup. Do it. This is just a wonderful restaurant that I really can find no fault with, and I don't think you will either.

Wow. Last visit was 24 years ago and it's even better now. The owner Nick was AMAZING and our server was top notch. The crab cakes, stunning, the escargot, epic, the Filet Mignon cooked to perfection. Live piano that played our requests. Couldn't ask for anything better. Great experience.

Food was great! I had the salmon with vegetables. Cooked to perfection and great flavor. Serving size was good too. I will be back to Masters. The only complaint is the cloth on chairs and booths need to be changed along with the flooring. Good food though!

This is my kind of place! I don't golf that much but I love the golf feel and country club touch. I went in there on Friday for Lent to get fish and chips and boy did I fall in love! The fish and chips were amazing! I also had the New England Clam chowder which was very good. Clean, up to date restrooms! Good service. Just an all around great place to have lunch. I can't wait to take my girl friend here sometime as well as any family members when they come into town!

I wrote this review, kinda on a sour note... I only went here because someone passed. I would like to say the food at least to me was good, but because of why we were there I couldn't enjoy myself... I ordered the prime rib and it was perfect, the only real issue I had with the place was, it was too formal.... at least for me anyway. Maybe it's me, maybe I'm too laid back

After passing by this place for more than 5 years, I went here for lunch with a co-worker yesterday and had a great experience! We were immediately seated on the second floor in a booth. I had the Cromwell sandwich (pastrami and corned beef) and she had the Reuben. Both sandwiches were prepared with a generous portion of meat and flavor! The sandwiches were accompanied with pickles and coleslaw. I ordered a side of onions rings for an extra $1.95 and they were nice and crispy without an overabundance of breading. When my co-worker explained that we were there to celebrate our birthdays, he generously gave us a complimentary dessert with a candle as well (Mmm...peanut butter pie)! The service was very friendly and prompt and although the decor is slightly dated, I really liked the open feel of the restaurant on a nice sunny day! The food was reasonably priced for a sit down restaurant and I would definitely come here again for a work lunch or special occasion.

A group of friends and I had our annual Christmas luncheon here. We used to have our luncheion here in the past, but because service was lacking on those occasions, we moved on to other places. Well, my sister-in-law and I persuaded the others to give it another try. We knew that the service has been wonderful over the past years because my sisters and I come here regularly for our "Girls Night Out." In fact, this is my sister's (Debbie Z's.) favorite restaurant. The girls in the "Christmas" group had a great time and the food was absolutely delicious. One member of the group, Joyce, needed special care, as her food must be gluten-free. They accomodated her and she looked like a million endorphins were floating around in her brain. "I feel like I'm in Heaven," she insisted as she ate the tenderest piece of salmon she had ever had. She wants to go back there... soon.... she told me when I drove her home. Our server was a young man named Roz. He was considerate and kind and not bad on the eyes either. I don't know how he did it, but he committed our names to memory and we had not even introduced ourselves to him. That kind of made us feel special and we told him that when we come back, we will ask for him to be our server. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays and had a wonderful ambience. Time for another "Girls Night Out." Great food; Great wine: Great service.... what more could you ask for? Masters is one of the busiest restaurants in Madison Heights, MI., but they do take reservations, so call ahead. We had requested one of their round tables. Good thing we made a reservation, because by the time we left, the place was packed. Masters is located on 13 Mile Rd, just West of Dequindre Rd.

I have driven by this place thousands of times and thought it was a fancy, special occasion, dress-up place and never went. I finally went and it turns out to be a great spot for affordable family dining. Now, I will say, the patrons tend to be on the older side, so the menu is really nothing exciting, just basic, good food. My favorite dish is the fish and chips. The fish is better than most diners, priced the same, you get a bowl of soup or salad, the atmosphere is 100x better, sometimes there is live entertainment, AND I can order a glass of wine if I choose. Kids love the burgers and, of course, the bread basket.

I had been to The Masters before, but it was years ago and I actually remembered what meal I ordered (kabob) but don't remember whether I liked it or not. Well, I went back yesterday for my dad's birthday, and I must say that everything was great. I mean, I'm giving this place five stars which is a rarity. And I am doing that based on my experience, the experience of the four others I was with, and in comparison to other places I have traversed. I have nothing to complain about. First, we made a reservation in advance, which was a good idea considering how busy it was on a Friday evening. The reservation was for 7 p.m., and we walk in at 6:55, wait five minutes and were seated by 7 p.m. That's good service right there. Our waiter was courteous and funny. He looked half-stoned and that made things more hilarious, but he was on top of his game. He didn't mess up any orders, he brought things out on time, and he was just generally a good waiter. He must have said "absolutely" 37 times, which made for a funny joke later on with my family. I started off with a frozen strawberry margarita, which was quite good. Enough tequila in it but not so much that it wasn't drinkable. I later had a regular margarita which was also good, but not as good as the strawberry. We started off with sides: escargot and spinach and artichoke ragoons. I didn't get near the snail because some seafood I can't stomach, but I devoured the ragoons. Wow! Those things were so good! And the sauce they give with them is just perfect. Bravo, Masters ... bravo. Each entree comes with soup or salad, so I got the cream of broccoli soup -- DELICIOUS. Arguably the best restaurant soup I have had in a long time, just creamy enough and great taste. I split the soup with my girlfriend, who had the Caesar salad with their "famous" dressing. I must say the dressing was killer and was an above-average Caesar salad -- and I eat a lot of Caesar salad. The rolls with the butter were also very good and added a nice compliment to the soups and salads. For our entrees we all got something different: I have the chicken florentine, girlfriend had the lobster ravioli (which was a Friday special), sister had chikcken marsala, mom had a full slab of ribs (she's a gamer!) and my dad had the veal parmesan. Everyone was satisfied with their meals, devouring them. I tried the ribs and the ravioli, which were both more than satisfactory. My florentine was very good too, with the chicken cooked well and the scallions adding a good flavor to the sauce. The prices aren't too bad, either. Soup/salad plus bread plus a large entree for around $10, I mean come on. I don't care who you are, that's a solid deal. The ambiance is also pretty calm and has a nice charm to it, and the booths are quite comfortable. With the service and the food and the diverse menu that can appease anyone, our group had a hell of a time an my dad had a nice birthday meal. I can't complain about anything, and I'm glad we went. Keep it up!

I've been to the Masters several times as I have lived right next to it for the past three years. It has always been a quick "wanna grab lunch/dinner?" meal whenever someone is over or with my neighbors and I've never had a bad meal! What caused me to write this review, however, is two fold. First, I'm moving from the area soon and feel they deserved a review before I left and secondly, my graduation dinner there was AMAZING. I called for a reservation at about 1:30 pm on a Monday for 6 pm that evening. I knew a reservation wasn't required, but I wanted to give them a heads up that seven people would be coming of mixed ages. When we arrived 15 minutes early they were ready for us and set up a table in an area that was in the main dining area upstairs, but was private. Our waitress and host were fantastic all night. First bringing me my drink a huge celebratory glass (I'll attach a photo). Anyone who knows me knows I love Diet Coke so this was honestly the highlight of my day (getting my M.D... nah... getting a Diet Coke larger than my stomach can hold... YES PLEASE!). The host made sure our glasses were never empty, our plates were always removed and were replaced with fresh ones between courses (we ordered a LOT of food). The waitress answered all of the questions patiently and made small talk. We didn't feel rushed and the experience was fantastic. I think a lot of this service was because we had made a reservation, but the service has always been good on my other visits as well. The was good for everyone. We ordered stuffed mushrooms, par four, spinach and artichoke pockets, and shrimp cocktail - everything was great there. For entrees - One of my 75 year old grandmas got chicken kabob and won't stop talking about how good her meal was. My sister got chicken alfredo and loved it, although said it didn't heat up well as leftovers the next day. My dad got stuffed salmon and loved it. The rest of us got prime rib which was great, although I would have liked a little bit more au ju. In the past I've had the Chicken Piccata, French Dip, Fish and Chips, and a few other dishes I can't remember off hand but they were good. All in all, it pleased everyone young and old. The experience was great. The menu was broad enough to please everyone, but the quality of the food was not compromised because of how large the menu was. I would recommend making a reservation if you are celebrating something special because they went above and beyond to make the day special for me (and my family!).

We recently attended a small anniversary party at Masters. The service was great. The main waitress we had hustled her butt off. It's unfortunate that the gratuity was included in the bill. Many of the people in our party merely tipped the 18% which was included in the bill. It ended up costing our wonderful waitress. We gave more because she did such a stellar job. The restaurant itself is quite clean and nice. We liked the appearance. The food was pretty rough. I had veal parm which came with spaghetti. The sauce was very bland and not tasty. The veal itself was pretty good, but the cheese was pretty basic and nothing special. I really had a hard time eating it. I had cole slaw which was dreadful. We also ordered a seafood appetizer plate. It was bad. The items (shrimp, clams and calamari) were just heated frozen food stuff. The calamari was disgusting and extremely fishy. Avoid this at all costs. The prices were sort of high for the food that was delivered. It seems to me that this place tries real hard to be something special, and the food just isnt. The food here is just ok at best.

Came here for our annual staff holiday party. Service was terrible. Waitresses were quite rude. Our party requested to sit in the place that we reserved, and the waitress actually told me she thought it was ridiculous for us to be doing that. I was told it was a cash bar and I could not use my credit card. When I questioned a second waitress her reply was, " well, that is what a cash bar means, you have to pay with cash." I have never been to a restaurant that didn't allow a tab on a credit card. We had reserved the area until 6:30 pm. At 6:10 they began to moving chairs off of our table and rearranging the area. They asked us to move even though we had reserved the spot until 6:30 since another party was coming in. I will never have another holiday party, or any other gathering here again. Worst service ever!

The service here was stellar, professional, helpful & courteous. The food was dated, heavy & overall pretty bland. I ordered the stuffed musrooms, there was no crab flavor t be found. It basically tasted like wet bread. I also ordered one of the specials, Chicken Diane which came with a creamy chicken rice soup. There was hardly any rice or chicken & overall it was pretty bland in flavor. As for the main dish, I've made a version of Chicken Diane at home, was really tasty. I was looking forward to an elevation of that. What I recieved was adequately cooked chicken that was topped by a heavy, overly sweet sauce supposedly made with brandy. There was no brandy flavor to be found. The carrots, mushrooms & onions with it would have been nice if the rest of the dish had had any flavor besides sweet. It came with a side of the vegetables of the day. Steamed broccoli & cauliflower which wasn't seasoned at all. Rather flavorless but not cooked to death, so I guess there's that. Overall, given the price and atmosphere they are trying to create, I expected a lot better. Instead I was very disappointed.

There was a bug in my greek salad. I asked for a sandwich instead. It had coleslaw and turkey. It looked better than it tasted.

My wife and I have an unnatural affinity for this place. It is our favorite "date night" spot. Not entirely sure what it is about the place, as no singular element is amazing enough to grant a perfect rating, it's just how the experience adds up in its entirety. The Masters speaks to us, I guess. Something about the atmosphere is so soothing. The clientele is always a bit on the "older side" to put it mildly. We are in our mid-30's but we always feel like scrappy teenagers whenever we walk in there. The food has always been good. Not 5-star fare, but that is not the type of thing one goes here for. It is good comfort food, "old people food", plain and simple. But much better done than at any chain restaurant. Our favorites are the french onion soup, the fish & chips, the steak sandwich, and the snow crab legs. If you go there on your birthday they will bring you a jumbo-sized alcoholic beverage of your choice. We found this out accidentally a few years ago when we inexplicably wound up with a fishbowl-sized martini at our table. Have been back for several birthdays since.

Delicious! Like other readers, I have lived in the area and have passed this restaurant many times over. Finally, last night we stopped in at the Masters for my dad's birthday because he wanted prime rib and he was not disappointed. None of us were. Everything was fantastic and reasonably priced. My dad got the prime rib, mom-Delmonico steak, my husband-veggie stir fry, my 4 year old-cheeseburger and myself-lake perch. My mom is a picky eater and she even loved everything. I made reservations just in case (for a Thursday) but they weren't necessary. There are a lot of tables with an upper and lower level. Our waiter and the rest of the staff were fantastic and am finally glad we got a chance to stop in there. I highly recommend The Masters Restaurant!

I tossed and turned all night thinking about how I was gonna do this review some justice, and make a bad situation for me entertaining for you. Let's dig in! This review is all about learning. Learning that one person's great time is another's miserable time. Learning that one person can leave the same restaurant full and satisfied, and the other, hungry and angry... Hangry, if you will. I remember being a teenager and thinking by the looks of the outside that this place was "fannnncy".. LOL!!! How naive teenagers can be. Truthfully, it's dark, it's wood, it's golf-y and it attracts an older clientele. That pretty much sums it up. I needed a dinner date while my Diva Queen daughter was out skating, and I lucked out that my son was available... and wanted to hang out with me. He's 17, a junior in high school, tops on his cross country team, has a job and a girlfriend, so yeah.. pretty much an appointment to see him nowadays! We had to stick close to 15 and Dequindre to pick up DQ. I asked him if he wanted to go to Mario's or The Masters. He said The Masters right away and said, "They're GOOD!" He was half right anyway.... We walked in at 7:15pm to a decent crowd, and no host at the door. That's cool, i'm not in a hurry. But then like, 5 mins pass, and my son says, "are we supposed to seat ourselves maybe?" LOL The host shows up and seats us in a booth downstairs. Son says he wants the tomato florentine soup, that it's soooo good! I ask what other soups they have. French onion and seafood chowder. For mains, he gets the NY strip, and I get fried lake perch. Both with baked potato/butter/sour cream. This is always where I get myself into trouble; going against instinct to order seafood. I love a steak, but I LOVE seafood to the point that I should have fucking flippers and a tail. I excitedly order the chowder. FML... Our soups come out with a basket of some boring warm bread, saltines and a little cup of whipped butter. Remember the butter, we'll touch up on that later. Son tears right into his soup and is all over how great it is. I look at my "chowder" (now using the term loosely) and it looks like fucking wallpaper paste. Oh no, not again. "Mom, STOP looking at your food like that!!" But I can't help it. I know what comes next. Dare I try it? I'm stupid so of course I try it. Straight up fucking flour. I can't believe delicious crustaceans gave their lives for this. "Watch this.." I tell him, and proceed to stand my spoon in the chowder. It stands at attention until our waitress comes to ask about it. I tell her it's a little thick.. Her answer?? "Yeah, it is." Wow, thank you Captain Obvious! I got a bowl of the tomato to go instead. Cool, DQ loves the tomato florentine and will eat it later i'm sure. I eat a piece of the boring bread and sulk. Son says " I told you, you should have ordered what I did." Not now, kid, i'm sulking! The mains come, and son's steak looks SO amazing. He cuts me a little piece and it tastes fabulous!! He's in heaven! My fish is looking pretty great too!! 5 pieces flour fried. The waitress brings our baked potatoes, sets them down, grabs the butter cup from the breadbowl, and sets it between us. "Here's some butter for your baked potato." LMAO!! Fucking seriously?? Ummmm... ok. Taste? Mmmmm.... bland and dry, but greasy at the same time... Can that even happen?? The flour had no seasoning whatsoever in it, the tartar sauce tasted like Miracle Whip... oh Lord I was so upset. Like nearly in tears at this point. Maybe my taste buds have gone to shit??? Maybe I am just a picky bitch... NO. I know that's not true because my son's whole meal was AWESOME!! I quietly willed and gulped down 3 of the 5 pieces, and devoured my baked potato like I just ended a fucking hunger strike. Luckily my son doesn't like mushrooms, so I got the 3 from his steak. Great. Almost a meal. : / So, in the end. My son was right. And so I learned... I should've ordered what he ordered. I should've fuckin ordered the steak. Damn! Some places should stick to one or the other I guess. That's what i'll take away from this. So, my personal experience, 2 stars. My son's? 4 stars!! We'll split at 3 ok? $44.00 with tip and no alcohol. Dinners come with soup OR salad and a side. /Uneven!!

Had our daughter's communion party here. Great ambience, excellent service and the food was great too. The staff bent over backwards to make sure we had a great time. The room was decorated nicely and everything went off without a hitch. Great place to host a party.

Every Friday I try to treat my mom to dinner at a different restaurant around town. Tonight it was a hole-in-one at The Masters. The service was outstanding. I loved the decor with the upstairs dining having an open view of the downstairs dining area. I loved the old-school service elevator that mom could use to relieve her bad knees. The wood shutters and big round windows were gorgeous. Mom ordered the lake perch which was fresh and delicious. Mom likes sweet, red wine, which wasn't on the menu so the waiter prepared delicious sangria for her to enjoy. For my wine selection I chose Oberon (Napa Valley) Cabernet Sauvignon, it was smooth and rich served in a large wine glass. This porterhouse steak was very flavorful, juicy and tender. The meal was served with a cup of soup and in my case I ordered a baked potato. The steak was sliced rather thin but an overall great value for the money. For dessert we had a slice of carrot cake along with a cup of coffee. I always worry about ordering coffee late in the day as it is usually the coffee left sitting in the pot of an hour or so but my cup of coffee was hot, and fresh. The carrot cake was moist and full of flavor.

I would go back on maybe a less busy night or different time of year to see if anything is different. The service was a bit slow and the waitress was apologetic so that did make up for it considering she was doing the work of 2 people. The food was good. 2 perch dinners and those were really really good. Not coated in a thick breading it was just lightly pan fried and had a great light taste. 1 coconut shrimp dinner that was said to VERY good with the marmalade sauce of course I had the chicken Cesar salad and a french onion soup. My salad was great. I wish it had more croutons but other then that its was just right. I love soup and french onion is one of my favs and this one was yummy!! My slightly dirty martini was NOT great. It tasted very watered down but i didn't mention it since it took so long to get it in the first place. My BF and his parents had a nice relaxing time and enjoyed our experience there. I think it is one of their fav places and i would for sure go back with them again if they wanted, even if just for the soup. I think they could do a little better here but this older places with a slightly older crowd tend to stay the same for years and years. I think a little update and a freshen up to the menu this place could be a 5*, it has GREAT potential.

My fiance and I went here for lunch on Wednesday. We were seated upstairs. There were 2 waitresses waiting on tables upstairs. I watched as both waitresses walked past our table numerous times and neither one greeted us or took a drink order. The place was not very busy, so I don't understand why it took 9 minutes for our waitress to finally come to the table to greet us and take our drink order. We ordered the crab cakes for an appetizer. The crab cakes were decent, minus the shells that you had to spit out since they were cooked into the crab cake. The French Onion soup was very disappointing - very, very salty and the cheese was not baked very well on top. The Caesar Salad with Chicken was also disappointing. The dressing was horrible and tasted nothing like Caesar. Our overall experience was very disappointing :(

I've ate here several times over the past 10 years. Needless to say its becoming fewer and far in between. I like the flaming cheese ( which they don't do on special occasions because of there limited menu). They have pretty good bread, unless its a busy night, then it seems they just fire one huge batch and use it all night. The Entrees are OK, a little pricey for the quality. If you love paying 5.95 for a store bought dessert than your in luck. I hope the people at Masters realize that they need to step it up, would feel bad if there already run down restaurant had a for sale sign in front of it!

Tell you what, everything you expect from a moderate restaurant is what you'd get here. Here is the one thing I noticed at this place that may make this my go to date night choice: Hardly any kids anywhere. I'm pretty sure that my kids were the only kids in the whole restaurant. When you are used to a environment where there are kids everywhere who don't know how to act in a restaurant, what I witnessed here was very different. The decor fits the theme of the restaurant well, and it's clean and well kept. The food was excellent, and my entire family seemed to enjoy it. I'd go again, although it's not really my first choice, even though it's the closest restaurant to my house.

We had dinner at the Masters a few years ago and it was a great place. What happened? We returned recently with my sister and her husband and it was terrible. The salad was small and not fresh. The fish was overlooked and cold. I will never return.

I came in here after an intense craving for French Onion Soup. And viola! I found it. It was delicious, but beware: they stuff the whole thing with croutons. (Being a carb-hater I wasn't too fond of that). I ordered a spanish coffee that in itself had me in a lighter mood ( 3/4 of it was liquor) and had the stuffed mushroom appetizer (also fabulous). the atmosphere is great for a date of just a low-key bite with friends and when we ate there was live music (a man on a piano- maybe keyboard, I have no idea- there was a mix of music). I would definitely come again if only for their soup!

i have visited this restaurant at least 12 times in the past year. The food is pretty good but what draws me back is the quiet atmosphere and the great staff. Not crazy about the seafood dishes. Best meals I have found to be the steak and chicken dishes. The upstairs is generally pretty quiet providing a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy dinner.

Mutant chicken, where did you come from? I've been to the Masters a few times, and am always underwhelmed. Last time was for a retirement party. I ordered the chicken marsala. What I received was a chicken breast 2 inches thick that took up half my plate covered in what looked to be some sort of Campbell's cream soup sauce. Normal chickens aren't that big. All I could think about was my poor, antibiotic and hormone infused chicken, too heavy to stand on its own legs in a stinky, overcrowded coop. Lost my appetite.

Been to this restaurant numerous times over the years for many different things. The outside of the restaurant needs a "face-lift" and it would be nice if they actually bought a new sign for the street. That thing looks run down and needs to be painted. The inside is very cute and low light. I think they try to set a specific atmosphere, but it just ends up being dark inside. Now lets talk about the food. Mediocre at best. The rice served there is probably comparable to boxed rice, they add so dehydrated vegetables to it, but come on people! I had the whitefish entree for lunch and it actually tasted pretty good. I ordered it "dry" so there would be no butter or oil on it, and they did it perfect. I added a little cocktail sauce and lemon and it tasted good. Other people I was with ordered the beef tips, I didn't ask them how it was though, but I do remember a significant amount left on the plate, and they sure didn't ask for a takeout box. I did enjoy sitting in there back private room for a party, this room has a ton of windows and was nice and bright! I won't go to this restaurant willingly, but if someone is having an event there, I won't complain about. So I guess my review doesn't really help! You are going to have to check it out yourself!

we had our funeral reception here. themed after the Master's golf tournament. lots of interesting golf art lining the walls made it slightly more interesting for me. they gave us the back room. the michigan whitefish and rice was a simple, straight-forward execution most likely because the flavor of the fish stands on it's own. the chicken and beef selections that the others were eating looked a bit more complex but nothing overly fancy. this is a straightforward place that's a level or two above the applebees and denny's that populate this area. nice decor, art, helpful service. not a 5 star restaurant or anything but, in my opinion, it gets the job done admirably.

This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to for a nicer atmosphere, but still inexpensive. I remember driving passed it as a kid and always thinking it must be really fancy and expensive. You can definitely dress up for the Master's but it isn't necessary. It's also a very kid friendly restaurant. My kids always get so excited to go there. The atmosphere is so nice. It has a golf theme to the decor, but even if you aren't interested I'm golf, (which I'm not), you'll still appreciate it. The restaurant has beautiful wood details and rich, warm colors. The decorations are lovely, especially during the holidays. I have never been disappointed in anything I've ever ordered here. The chicken and steak dishes are my favorites and this last time, I got a bacon cheese burger and it was perfect. The prices are not bad either. Not super cheap, but not expensive at all. I've been to several parties here and they are very accommodating. They have an upstairs for a very large group, or there is a sunroom for a medium sized group. The only thing I'll say is that I prefer the regular menu choices over the party selections. But that's probably just a personal preference. The staff is very friendly and professional. The wait staff and busboys are extremely attentive. They've always bent over backwards to accommodate our needs and preferences. Also, you cannot find a restaurant with more personable owners. Koula always greets us and takes time to visit with us at our table. She makes us feel so welcome. I would definitely recommend checking this restaurant out. You won't be disappointed.

I decided to give it one more try. Husband and I ordered the surf and turf. BIG MISTAKE. I could not even eat my lobster tail. I took the first bite and I was done. The taste was disgusting. The lobster tasted like it had been in the freezer for quite some time and was rubbery and just ... well nasty. I am giving another start because the steak was good. My husband ate his but he said the lobster "was kind of gross" I really hate that this place cant get it together. Rolls were like lead and it took forever for us to get our food. I could not get over the lobster... I was just really grossed out. So I ended up going to the bar and getting some johnny walker to remove the taste from my mouth completely. Darn it... Darn it.. Darn it.... I really wanted to like this place. They need a new chef! My family will not be returning.

wow! expected it to be an overgrown bob evans but WOW was I surprised. excellent croutons, wine and salad. what else do you need? and great service! the only thing I'd add to the meal was green onions/chives, for the baked potato, but other than that, every one loved their meals

The atmosphere and ambiance of this restaurant was amazing. We had a group of about a dozen, the service was fantastic and the food was great. Everything came out on a great pace and nobody complained about a single thing. Beverages were refilled promptly and the service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place, especially for groups.
